Bill Gates: Robots Should Pay Tax As Human Does

There some incident those human workers are losing their job to robots. However, Bill Gates, an American business magnate and co-founder of Microsoft, stated that the government should tax those robots.

The reason why Bill said that is because it is one way to decrease the spread of automation which forcing companies to fund other types of employment. Thus, it can save people’s job.

Gates, one of the leading people in artificial-intelligence technology, believed that the robot tax can support jobs that involve in taking care of elderly people or working with kids in school.  Moreover, he insisted that the government must control and overseer these automation programs rather than let companies handle it.

Even though Bill’s intention is good it is not totally theoretical as EU lawmakers rejected his proposal to tax robot owners and companies that are replacing their workers with robots.

Although Gate’s proposal was rejected, experts believed that there will time that government will tax automation. Currently, human workers that are protesting said that a $60,000 worth work in a factory that took over by robots should be tax at the same level as human workers have.
