The alliance’s director at NICE, Gareth Hole, stated that even though RPA and software robotics are about automating repetitive tasks,  it is also about having the right conversation, accuracy, supports, and augmenting people. He also added that RPA is basically about supporting people with their experience.

 NICE has created a robot called NEVA, a robot that employing a virtual attendant. Hole proclaimed that NEVA main platform is the helping companies in augmenting people with automation experience.

Other automation companies unusually focus on back-office processes automation like finance and HR which can be automated end to end effectively. NICE, on the other hand, with its own vision and mission, this company has its own unique selling point, focusing on supporting workers with their day to day activities.

Augmenting People, Rather Than Automating End To End

Gareth gave the estimated percentage that a company’s automation should focus on. He claimed that leaders must automate its end to end actives around 10 to 20 percent. As for automation that augmenting people, it should be around 80 to 90 percent.

Also, he pointed out that the company first focus on optimizing front office workers, not looking a way to automate end to end activity but augmenting people. NICE believes that helping and supporting other people is more powerful than just automating activities and process.
