Unattended RPA With Microsoft 365 Apps. RPA is an automation procedure by imitating and doing rule-based functions. A computer copies the action packages a user takes to complete a mission and archives them by RPA.
There are two major types of RPA.
RPA attended: The customer and the bot collaborate. It’s sometimes referred to as virtual helpers.
Know the factors affecting employee performance
Unattended RPA: It does its mission and interaction execution, regardless of the user. The bot will run automation on its own.
In this paper, I will address unattended RPA.
Microsoft 365 Apps criteria
Below, I wrote the criteria for the use of Microsoft 365 Apps for unattended RPA companies:
(1) The account with an unattended RPA must have a Microsoft 365 company apps license (unattended). The account may be an ordinary person, a machine, or a robot account.
(2) Only Office applications for Windows are available.
(3) For the business edition 2009 or older, you need Microsoft 365 apps.
Administrators can manage as for the license used, Microsoft 365, Corporate Apps at the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
If the Microsoft 365 Business apps (unattended) are not licensed, the Office software that is for unattended RPA operates in reduced functionality mode. Established documents in office apps can open and print without attention.
But, you cannot create new documents, or current documents edited or stored. In this case, under the ribbon, it shows the following message: “REQUIRED LICENCE The accounts need an unattended Office certificate.”

So, you can one of these options.
Use the browser prompt window.
This procedure mostly extends to situations in UI automation.
When the app is launched:
(1) First, open the prompt window for order (using your automation mechanism).
(2) Next, call the Office app on the command prompt.
(3) Then, once you rename the app, the next command line will be a turn.
Pass an argument to show that you are using unattended RPA by using the command line switch:
‘.exe -unattended [appname].’
The name of the Office app you’re opening will depend on the app’s name.
This situation occurs any time you try to do an unattended Office RPA scenario. We can also save the syntax offline and later pasted it in the prompt.
Use the registry key
This method is usually true when a dedicated computer runs an unattended RPA. You should change the key with this syntax in order to signify unattended use:
Software, key, unattended, and type of software: DWORD. Software, key, and type.
After that, users can open their app by any method while we change the user settings. We must not use the command prompt for opening it.
